Since 2005, we’ve been on an uproar to connect communities together. A struggle to maintain fundamentals of hip hop dance alive within the Southern California Region. That particular community has matured quickly due to a combination of healthy competition and cooperation.

Wait lets take it back a notch….

In early 2000s, many So Cal teams traveled to San Francisco to perform in other competitions hoping they would compete with new styles. The discovery of new teams in NorCal was astonishing. Various styles and different tastes for music.

This entire site will take you to a journey of the Hip Hop Dance Association; trials and tribulations of generational resistance and change, virtualization challenges, technology and trends, respect and cooperation, dancer life cycles and a discovery of new communities. The scope of this journey includes both East and West coast hip hop dance teams, both underground and mainstream, including studio dancers.

These posts will reveal more than what we see and hear in the teams, rather the music that they express.
